Second day at GITEX Future Health in Casablanca!

Two remarkable days at GITEX Future Health Africa in Casablanca.

Being part of the inaugural edition of GITEX Future Health Africa Morocco has been an extremely valuable opportunity for Walit Group.

From the very first day, the scale and ambition of the event were evident.

The opening brought together some of the most influential figures shaping the future of healthcare in Morocco and across Africa, including H.E. Amine Tehraoui, Minister of Health and Social Protection, and Prof. Youns Bjijou, Director Delegate of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Sciences and Health.

The contribution of Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization, further reinforced the international significance of the event and the growing importance of digital transformation, data and innovation in building stronger and more accessible healthcare systems across the continent.

Day Two continued with the same intensity.

High-level discussions and new partnerships brought together institutions, healthcare leaders, researchers and some of the world’s leading technology and pharmaceutical companies.

The presence of organisations such as AstraZeneca, together with strategic discussions involving the Moroccan Ministry of Health, the Mohammed VI Foundation for Sciences and Health and the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion, demonstrated something particularly important: healthcare transformation is no longer simply a technological challenge. It requires institutions, research, industry and technology companies to work together.

For Walit and Medlit Tech, this is precisely where the opportunity lies.

Artificial Intelligence, advanced software and data-driven technologies can only create meaningful value in healthcare when they are developed around real clinical and organisational needs.

Being in Casablanca allowed us to listen, exchange ideas, meet decision-makers and professionals from different countries and better understand the extraordinary transformation currently taking place in the African healthcare ecosystem.

It also gave us the opportunity to present our own vision: technology should not replace the human dimension of healthcare, but amplify it – making processes more efficient, information more accessible and professionals better supported in their daily work.

We would therefore like to sincerely thank the organisers, the institutions, the speakers and everyone who took the time to meet us during these first two days.

Thank you, Casablanca.
And thank you to GITEX Future Health Africa for creating such a valuable meeting point between healthcare, technology and international innovation.

For Walit Group, the conversations started here are perhaps even more important than the exhibition itself.

Because the most interesting projects often begin with a simple exchange of ideas.
