Shopify replatform

Full replatforming of an e-commerce platform from Adobe Commerce / Magento 2 to Shopify Plus, including a review of the application architecture, data migration and development of the new front end on top of the new user experience.

The project covered the migration of catalogue, customers, orders and content, the configuration of markets, languages, payments and checkout processes, and integration with external systems such as ERP, CRM, PIM and third-party services. SEO migration, redirect management, performance optimisation, analytics integration, testing and go-live completed the engagement, with a strong focus on operational continuity and platform scalability.

01 — The challenge

Three systems, one buying experience.

Master data, pricing and availability lived in different systems, with discount logic manually replicated per channel. Every campaign launch required weeks of alignment.

The constraint was to leave the core ERP untouched: the new architecture had to integrate, not replace.

02 — Approach
01

Platform selection

Assessment of Adobe Commerce against Shopify Plus, based on catalogue depth, markets and operational constraints.

02

Data migration

Catalogue, customers, orders and content moved with a reconciliation pass on every entity.

03

New front end

Responsive templates built on the updated UX, with SEO migration and redirect management.
